My Brain is bleeding…

Why do they need to make this so friggin difficult to understand. I know what a vector is. I know what a 3d space coordinate system. I know that when I retrieve the dot-product of a vector across a translation matrix I am shifting the origin of the 3d world that the vector is described in. I just don’t understand why I am on the 30th page of reading about how the Plane that passes through the x-origin translates when you translate the vector. No shit.. If the Origin moves, that means the axis’s shift too, so of course the plane shifts. Am I just over simplifying this or is all this much more complicated than I am grasping?
I believe all this heffulump talk is just trying to say that the inverse of the translation matrix identifies the planes of the x, y, z axis’s in the translation matrix…
