What a full weekend….

The weekend started out great with doing fourteen geocaches in one day. Me and a friend solved quite a few of them in the local area and even found three travelbugs. I fell asleep later that night on the couch right around the submersion scene in escaflowne. At 3:30 AM I woke up on the couch screaming at the dog because my feet were wet when I put them on the floor. I was certain that the dog had pissed on the floor again. After bitching about the dog I take the second step and the second foot shows up wet.. Now I’m really pissed and starting to come thru. I look around and notice that I’m standing in the middle of a lake. And everywhere I looked was more water. At which time I took off the socks and smelled them. No pee in the socks. I sloshed my way through the entire downstairs and noticed as I got closer to the washing room the water was getting “Warmer”.. That was it.. The hot water heater.. And sure enough, the hot water heater had been dumping water on the floor all night. Luckily enough the house was designed in such a way that the water flowed through the sliding glass doors and didn’t just sit any deeper than 1/4″.

I quickly took a survey of the current condition of the house and realized I couldn’t do this alone. I shut off the hot water heater and turned off the water to it and then woke up the wife. Together we spent the next 2 hours with every comforter, pair of jeans and towel we owned mopping the water up.

Because the house was still a bit “Damp” afterwards I elected to stay downstairs with the lights on and the windows open hoping to finish drying out the house. At about 7:30 AM I retired back to the bedroom while the wife ran to work to drop off lesson plans for the sub. I had about 3 hours of sleep and then I was up and looking for a water heater. Ended up picking one up at lowes with my mother and spent the rest of the day installing it and replacing the old pipes. We then spent the rest of the day mopping and steam cleaning the house.

We then relaxed with chinese food and bad boys 2.

The next morning, Early again I woke up and took my friend Ian to the shooting range down in Markham Park. After shooting off quite a few rounds we made out way to Charlies for some Jamaican beef paties and then I was off to see Allegria with my wife and her parents. We had front row seats that were just excellent.

And now I am exhausted and working… I need to try just kicking back and doing nothing one of these weekends.

Today me and laura went to the PreNatal Photographers(UltraSound Place) and got more pictures of our baby to be.. So far everything is healthy and fine and it’s a boy.

Well, I’ve been pretty sick for the past week. Still feeling like shit, but I’m back at work.. Yeah… So happy to be back.. yeah right..

Been suffering from a cold/flu thingy that’s basically kept me in bed alot of the time and anytime I did get out of bed I would feel like shit shortly afterwards for doing to much. I didn’t even go the Orange Bowl. Instead I had the wifey take her nephew with her. They had fun, and I was glad that I could watch it from home all covered up….
