Superficial and Jealous people can really suck sometimes.

My sister is one of those people that you have to hide everything from. For example, when she found out that we were going back to europe, instead of being happy for us, she had to criticize everything because she isn’t going. Just because she and her husband by stuff like over 3000 dollar Carbon Fiber bikes doesn’t mean that the rest of us can’t afford to go. She is one of those people that is in the top 10% income bracket in the United States and thinks she is super poor. I’m sorry, but if she would have put her foot down and not have bought the carbon fiber bike they could have afforded to go Europe for a month. Just with what it is going to cost them to put in new Tile in their house is more than we are spending on our trip to Europe.

Anyways, back to the real point, I’m so tired of hiding shit from my sister. Everyone does it because they don’t want to deal with her. Another example is Last night we celebrated my wife’s birthday party. Of course my sister notices that I’m taking pictures with a new camera and starting going off on “How did you get that? How did you afford that?” and so on. It is just so stressful to have to hide your life from a family member because they are constantly jealous of everyone else and they have more than everyone else does. Me and my wife make 20k a year combined less than them but we also live in a house worth half as much as theirs. Our priorities are focused more on ourselves than on impressing everyone else with our house and bikes and so on.

If she wanted to, she could do 20x more than we do, but that would require her to actually evaluate her priorities instead of just bitching about it all the time.

A Poem for the masses….

Yellow post its, monitor glare,
silent hum of computer fans.

The constant ringing of the phones,
because the mail just will not go.

Today at work has drove me nuts,
I need my weekend to arrive.

Tomorrow won’t and can’t be better,
lots of errands and chores I have.

Sleep and Sleep, and video games,
I need these rests for my poor brain.

Wish me sleep and wish me games,
wish the doctors say I’m Ok.
