Never fails….

Once you complain about it be slow or boring at work, the next day is going to ultra-hectic. Why can’t the work fairies just keep the pace going smooth, steady, and laid back. I don’t want it dead slow, but I also don’t 10 things to go wrong at once. It’s been nonstop since my shift started. It’s finally calmed down though but for a while there every couple of minutes something else would go down. For those of you that don’t know what my job is. Here is the breakdown:
I sit in a dark room and stare at monitors. When something breaks I have to do the first level of diagnostics on it. Figure out what broke and why it’s broke. I then have to contact the correct people to fix the broken problem. After that(Which sometimes is the hardest part of the job) I’ve got to type of nifty little emails to the office to inform them of what’s broke and if known, how long it’s going to be down for. So far this doesn’t sound too bad does it? But when 5 things break at a time, that’s 5 things I’ve got to troubleshoot, if I’m lucky I can call just one or two departments to get it fixed, and then 5 emails to send out. Plus then I’ve got to follow up on what was done to correct the problems with those 5 things or what the status is of the problem, and then send out even more emails.
Now, today, things just kept breaking. Now they are seeming alot better though, so lets how I can get that smooth, steady, and laid back pace for the rest of the day, not the slow drawn out or fast panic attack pace that we’ve had lately.
